The CIIM Story

The Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM) is a non-profit international business school established in 1990 by a group of business leaders and a team of leading academics representing some of the world’s best business schools. Our aim has been to draw on the best teachers in graduate management education, irrespective of location, making their talent and experience available in Cyprus.

CIIM’s mission is to serve as a centre of excellence in postgraduate management education, continuing executive education and research in local and regional issues of international concern that strengthen the knowledge-based society. It fosters a new generation of managers, entrepreneurs and business leaders, who become catalysts, motivators and accelerators of change and innovation in business and government, in Cyprus, the region and beyond.

To accomplish its mission , CIIM has pioneered the modular educational model. This gives our programmes exceptional flexibility, enabling students to focus on a specific subject within short intensive time periods. This gives a freedom of choice which is particularly suited to the needs of the working student.

CIIM is a highly specialized school, concentrating exclusively on advanced studies in business, management and leadership. In parallel with its flagship MBA programme, CIIM offers an “MBA for the public sector”, its Master in Public Sector Management (MPSM), as well as a number of management related masters degrees.

CIIM’s learning philosophy

We believe a more complete learning takes place when theory is put into practice. Hence, our educational approach is to complement the latest in management theory with cases, class room exercises, team work and live projects during which our student work with actual companies to devise improvements in strategy and operations.

Accreditation

Both our MBA and MPSM are internationally accredited. We also offer MSc’s in Human Resouce Management, an MSc in Finance and Banking as well as an MSc in Educational Leadership Management. All of our programmes have also been accredited by the accrediting agency of the government of Cyprus.
